Even in a fight against a dude, I wouldn't have continued punching him like that after it was obvious that his ass was kicked (unless it was a do or die type thing).
This guy went overboard but just like the Cop that pushed a guy over in a wheelchair he'll probably only get a couple of days off.
Law enforcement is out of control (at least some of them are).

ReplyDeleteMy point is that such people have problem in a personal life (or in a childhood) and so they vent anger on someone defenseless. It's sad but that's a common practice.
ReplyDeleteIn most cases those persons are just dicks... no problems in life, no bad childhood... they are just dicks. No second bottom, no "I had a bad mom", if you are a dick you are a dick.
DeleteNo Shas, that doesn't happen without reasons. Either there are problems in life or there are disturbances of the mind.
DeleteWe are only seeing an edited version of the event, but it certainly looks like the cop was beating this person, rather than trying to restrain her. That officer needs to be closely examined, by an outside agency - not the CHP.
ReplyDeleteHey I know there is a longer version to this, but if you watch the video she is still resisting even after taking the hits. I don't know their use of force but it shows as he is walking her back they go to the ground. She punches or tries to punch him in the face and he responds in kind by punching her. when he sees her go into a full defensive position he stops. Yes there are 1 to 2 extra punches thrown when she does this, but his brain is processing the info and stops to roll her over. It appears there is something she was grabbing for around her waist or the officers waist.
ReplyDeleteIf I was in an altercation and someones hands went for their waist my first thought is break the nose make their eyes water and gain control of them quickly.
Here is the written article and a comment there is a little better than mine.

Sol, I'm surprised that you haven't posted anything about SWAT teams claiming their part of corporations to claim their immune from open records laws.
