The world is spinning out of control. Kerry is nowhere to be found. Obama has checked out. Europeans are providing no leadership...and it looks like modern maps are being redrawn everyday.
We definitely live in interesting times. I wonder what historians will say about this madness.
In response to an Israeli officer getting wounded by a stray Syrian bullet, the IDF implemented an artillery attack aimed at Syrian military positions. The targets were precisely identified. The IDF noted that they see the Syrian military as responsible for the rocket fire on Israel.I need more info on this.

ReplyDeleteI highly doubt it was the Syrian military. they are to busy right now getting their ass kicked by ISIS. On the other hand it might have been a SAA force trying to pass themselves of as ISIS to provoke Israel to start bombing ISIS. (Though that's bit of a tinfoil territory )
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that is Israel isn't bombing ISIS in Syria. Tells me they are fucking idiots. ISIS is close in taking over Syria. Why he fuck would you want them as your neighbors.
Sol, I think your headline comes off as over the top. This sort of incident has already occurred several times before, with Syria and (less so) Lebanon. It is a limited incident (as far as the shooting goes). What is much more worrisome is that they border crossing has become unstable and was taken by insurgents/jihadis/who-knows-who. Even that has limited significance for the moment. But it does mean that particular area has become more hostile from the Israeli perspective, and will have to be watched and covered more aggressively.
ReplyDeleteApparently Egypt and the UAE have been carrying out air strikes in Libya but couldn't be bother to tell the US. It took the US a few days to identify who was doing it.
