Marine Corps slinky!

Admit it.  You know the aggravation.  You're trail company stuck in the back and you play the slinky game.  The General wants to go for a goddamn run, and for the next hour you're playing walking, then zooming at full sprint, then jogging, then back to walking, then back to full sprint!

Brigadier Gen. James W. Lukeman, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Division, and Sgt. Maj. Bryan K. Zickefoose, the sergeant major of 2nd Marine Division, lead the division in a run to build unit camaraderie aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., May 22, 2014. More than 10,000 Marines comprised one large formation stretching for more than a mile. (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Joshua W. Grant/Released)

  2. Lawds! Gitmo, circa 1973 Force march around the perimeter road, Fence on one side along with Cuban soldiers, Cactus and minefields on the other side.
    It was 11 miles, 112 f with 100% humidity.
    Full combat gear.
The whole BLT had around 20 heat strokes, 100 (+/- 50) heat casualties, 800 Holy Shit's! and 1 Helo Medevac from a heart attack.
I stayed in Capt Negron's, back pocket the whole march, I had been in that slinky from hell before and this time I was up front!
