AAV RAM/RS vehicle, which were fielded starting in 1999, so it is OIF. The vehicle has the mounting points for an armor kit, but was likely not yet fielded to this particular AAV unit. Many AAV units deployed from CONUS for the ground war and retained the woodland paint scheme.
Can anyone answer to me when AAV-7's use add-on armor kits. A combat situation on the photo but these haven't ones, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt's top secret, OK.
DeletePossible the first Gulf war or the invasion phase of the second, find out what model Cobra that is and you will know, an AH-1J or an AH-1N
ReplyDeleteMost equipment is still Green, I'd say First Gulf war.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Whiskey from HMLA-169. I like how the LZ was created, Marine Corps style. Light poles? No problem!
