Polish men with guns and no identifiable uniforms and ensignias ?
Why those must be all those Polish Mercenaries that are all the rage in Europe nowadays. They were parachuted in that exercise and then Cycled their way to the rendevouz location.
For now Beryls, they are rather simple an reliable weapon system. They take field tests in Iraq and Afghanistan without any problem. They were design as updated to NATO rounds model 88 "Tantal" assault rifle, with some additional things like picatinny rail ect. By now Army use some 45k of them and for next probably a decade they will be main assault rifle of Polish Army. In the future they will be replace by modern MSBS weapon systems.
GROM, AGAT, Formoza and commando units use mix of different weapons, classic US ones, German, British, French... all those nice toys reserved for spec ops formations.

Poland has always appreciated tanks. In 1939, they had more tanks then the United States.
ReplyDeleteIn 1939, USA did not have tanks. Only "Combat Cars".
DeleteSoon to be the largest mechanized land army in Europe and potentially the most capable.
ReplyDeleteQ: Who are the soldiers in the black BDU's with no insignias carrying M-4 type weapons?
In another photo the Polish soldier in green camo is carrying a Beryl type weapon.

Second:
1 picture - Leopard 2A4 tanks from 11th Armoured Cavalry Division
2 picture - Polish infantry with Beryl assault rifle near Rosomak IFV.
3 picture - GROM operatives
4-5 picture - again 2A4 from from 11th Armored
is Poland Infantry going to stick with the Beryl or are they going to follow GROM by going with the M4?
