  1. What snowshoes are they wearing? Looking for some good lightweight ones.

  2. High altitude? 6400 feet? Go southwest a bit and pick up some 10-14,000 feet.
Anyhow, I hope they know that there are a couple of nice hot springs in Bridgeport. Yes!

  3. Um... Why no winter or frost camouflage?

    1. safety and money saving. first why issue it for training when the instructors need to be able to see the unit to clear up any mistakes they make. winter camo would make it a bit easier to miss things. next is safety. last thing you need is someone to straggle on a hike and you have trouble finding him because he's wearing winter camo and is face down in some fresh snow.

way before many peoples time but you see units at 29 palms in jungle or 'temperate' camo despite desert cammies being available because a young Marine got left by his unit, didn't realize it until back on mainside and they couldn't find him before he died of heatstroke.

on large, rugged training ranges its better safe than sorry. especially if you have new leaders.

    2. I guess that makes sense. Now that I think about it, they likely had us use snow suits from the beginning mostly to avoid frostbite.
