  1. Soloman, I hope you are watching the news coming out of India vis a vis the recent sinking of the Pakistani "terror boat" but the Indian coast guard, not all details have come out yet but the defence ministry has promised a full picture will be released within the coming days once the Indian intel and law enforcement agencies have conduced a full investigation and built up a full(er) picture of events.

Remember back in 2008, the Pakistanis had infiltrated mumbai via boat and caused 26/11. Who knows what the Indian coast guard and NRTO (national technical research organisation) has averted here.....

Remember after Peshawar the leader of LeT had promised revenge on India (for what reason god only knows)? And Obama is landing in India in the next few weeks and there have been a series of alerts issued by the Indian intel agencies warning of LeT attacks on Indian soil. Adding on top of this Pakistan has been repeatedly breaking the ceasefire agreement along the LoC over the past few weeks, a tactic they use to provide covering fire to push terorrists into India.

Sh*t is going down right now in this part of the world that's for sure.

    2. The best thing right now is the way the Security establishment in India is handling these cases. The information being collected and then getting flitered and distributed to various organizations for final action is amazing. There are exceptions but since the Mumbai event.....attack after attack is getting intercepted or getting destroyed in its inception stage thereby minimizing casualties...though not completely eliminating casualties.

I am waiting for a complete US withdrawal before the true fireworks start. We have another couple of years to iron out our intelligence apparatus before those barbarians finish off Afghanistan and then turn their attention to India............again.

    3. Agreed, brother, what the NRTO and ICG were able to do is truly incredible- intercept chatter in Pakistan, trace the chatter and garner actionable intelligence form them, pass this information to the ICG who were able to locate this one tiny vessel among the thousands that were there in the Indian waters with their maritime patrol aircraft, keep the vessel under constant monitoring for 12 hours (3 different MPAs involved) then have an ICG vessel intercept the vessel on the high seas some 350 KM from the Indian shore! How many other coast guards could do this? Very very few.

Along with the truly remarkable step forward C3I has taken in India (now real time with multiple agencies) the level of technology now being employed by the Indian authorities is something else, the navy has their own satellite, the ICG and IN have their own dedicated coastal security control rooms linked to radar stations able to monitor the entire Indian coast line 25 KM out to sea etc etc

But yes, one can't get complacent, Mumbai has shown what can happen when things go wrong and we can be sure those Pakis aren't going to give up on trying to create chaos in India and turn it into the mess their nation is. More money needs to be spent and more vigilance is needed to keep India safe enough to allow it to prosper.

Once India is prosperous enough (in a few decades or so) and the disparity between the two nations is even more stark then India can end this game of the Pakis' once and for all.......
