24th MEU should be in charge of Marine Corps advertising!

Now that is the Marine Corps!

The latest ad...walls are barriers that separate, segregate...we've seen walls before they always fall?

This simple statement from the 24th MEU sings!  That's more like it!

I wonder how long before the political wing of the Marine Corps deems unit statements like this hostile?  Corporation rules for a warfighting organization!

How did we go from this...which isn't the most "hardcore" commercial the Corps has produced....

To this?  A virtual call for women in combat instead of a desire to protect the nation?  And yes I'm repeating myself...that statement by the narrator...we've seen walls before and they always come down is the most obvious part of this vid.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the Marine Corps and everything to do with the President's agenda.

Capt. Shannon Williams is a C-21 pilot, an Air Force Academy graduate, and — as of Feb. 26 — a new mother. And with the help of a new program called the Career Intermission Program, Williams will spend the next three years tending to — and hopefully further expanding — her new family.

  3. A breaking news. Okinawan governor ordered a halt to all construction related work at Henoko site. He finally pulled the trigger.

As per Dr. Solomon's prescription, it is time for the USMC to leave these ungrateful China lovers behind and come home.

Okinawa’s Governor Orders Work on U.S. Marine Corps Base to Be Halted

TOKYO — The governor of Okinawa ordered the suspension of work on a new American military airfield on Monday, escalating a confrontation with the central government. Officials in Tokyo said they would ignore his order and continue preparations for the project.

Protesters outside the camp appeared in television news reports on Monday cheering the suspension order.

  4. Maybe I'm daft but I don't see how the exploding wall has to do with women joining. I didn't see any women in the scene and showing stuff blowing up makes some people interested in joining the military. Could this be why the exploding wall? Blowing stuff up is most fun.

  5. I am sorry to disagree with you Sol. I watched the new vid and even had the retired squids in my office watch it. We all thought..."Damn, I would join right now! ". The previous commercial made the Marines look like they were nothing more than hand maidens to USAID handing out food to disaster relief folks.

The wall, the explosive breach, the fire team storm and the M1with Cobras overhead? Chubby!!

I have to admit, 24th MEU's statement is powerful.
