Thanks to Russell 2878
The above photos are from Military Photos.net. They're supposedly of the Armata Main Battle Tank and just this sneak peek tells me that we're looking at a different kind of beast.
I'm looking forward to the Russians taking the wraps off this monster!
It can't be Russian, it's not a Christie suspension ;)
ReplyDeleteThere have been several "sightings" such as this of the T-14, with each showing radically different designs. I truly think this is not the T-14. The gun looks tiny and the layout is rather Soviet. Think this is another vehicle.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a CV-90-120 or BMP with 125mm, the chassis seems of an IFV but who knows, we'll see
ReplyDeleteFor sure he looks very... not Russian.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or is it missing a fume extractor?
ReplyDeleteYep, look's like he miss many things... side skirts, barrel is also "weird" like not actual cannon, no idea what is under cover. I'm more and more convinced that those are mock ups for parade and real tank will look absolutely different.
ReplyDeleteIt is. The turrent is unmanned - all 3 crewmembers are located inside "armored caplule" of sorts in the front of the tank. Hence it doesn't actually needs fume extractor.
ReplyDeleteThe side pannels are not mounted.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. It doesn't look practical or typically Russian at all.
ReplyDeleteIts either the Hellcat or the British Comet tank.
ReplyDeletethats a nice photoshop of the image.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is certain, the wheel arrangement is nothing like what we have seen before from the Russians. And 7 road wheels of this type of diameter and placement is exactly what the Leopard 2 has.
ReplyDeleteThe scale of this tank is massive. Its the most un-Russian tank since the Kv-152.
