We're being told that this light tank is designed specifically for operations in Tibet. I don't believe that for one second. Couple this vehicle with the new Chinese heavy lifter coming online and its obvious that their paratroops are getting a rapid deployment fire support vehicle.
The idea of augmenting Company Landing Teams with artillery will still fall short. Riding around in Internally Carried Vehicles when facing Chinese Light and Medium armor (a category of vehicles that the US has abandoned) will see those forces outgunned the minute they set down. Unfortunately the same applies for US Army Airborne Forces. The ATVs they're buying are just refined versions of the ITV and will be killed just as easily.
