During testing the aircraft managed to achieve a 384 meters per second climbing rate. According to Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta, such a climbing speed would’ve allowed the warplane to reach an altitude equal to the peak of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth, in a mere 23 seconds.

Ya know I don't know if this is propaganda designed to make skeptics of the F-35 shout even more about that planes performance, or an actual statement of fact regarding the PAK-FA's performance.

Someone, somewhere knows the truth and they're wearing stars on their lapels.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  The F-35 is about more than the reputation of a few generals, more than the defense sector (we can start a crash program if necessary), more  than hope and faith.  Its about the defense of the Western world.

Whether this is true or not, the Russians and Chinese are coming hard.  The fantasy land that the Pentagon has been living in with the F-35 will have future generations cursing us...Military and Civilian leadership for stupidity and bloggers for not shouting even louder.
