Caucuses are about control.

Watching the returns and the number of caucus states is truly surprising.  Think about it like this.  In this modern age the idea of meeting with your fellow citizens and separating into groups to show your support for each candidate, listen to speeches promoting each of them and then reassembling to see who wins?

That's some ancient bullshit.

Plus you add in all the additional workers involved, the increase in error rate because of hand counts and you wonder why they still exist.

But you know why.  Its about helping the parties maintain control of the selection process.  We are all living Animal Farm.
