Side note.  Does anyone remember the Dragon Fire mortar?  The USMC had its hand on cutting edge tech that would have increased the firepower across the ground force (the Army would surely have picked it up if we had continued development) and for some unknown reason it was dropped just as it was delivering on its promise.

I don't know for sure but its been said that it was canned because it didn't fit inside the MV-22 so they went with a simpler system (the French model they have today). If anyone knows for sure, then hit me up, I'm curious.
