Kaman K-MAX | New, Unique Helicopters in Yuma's Fleet

Not much comment on this one.  Only a bit of confusion.  I thought this concept had been proven in Afghanistan.  The need for further testing is mystifying.  One thing is apparent but also head scratching.  As far as aviation is concerned the Marine Corps buy list seems full.  We're buying UH-1Ys, AH-1Zs, MV-22s, F-35s and soon the CH-53Ks.  Why another helicopter could be added to the list is beyond me.
