The US Army is apparently ditching APS to go with more advanced armors, camo etc...I don't know if that's gonna cut it.  If you can be seen you can be hit and they way tech is going they're aiming for weak spots like they do in World of Tanks video game.

APS is going to be a must have for troop transports.  If its labeled APC/IFV I don't think you're gonna be able to wait...at least if you see the potential of peer warfare within the next 5 - 10 years.
