THIS IS WHY INDEPENDENT SHIP OPERATIONS WORRY ME!!!

Different scenario.  Say this was the beginning move of a fight.  The Russians could have taken out the HMS Duncan without worry or loss.  For being one of the most advanced ships on the planet it would have been helpless.  Even in a full blown fight this would have been an iffy situation.

Now think about an amphib operating solo.  Even against a 2nd or 3rd rate power it could get just as sticky if not worse.

Side note.  No hate at the skipper but that chest thumping was all he could say and it was pure bullshit.  They had them on a plate.  I know it and that skipper knows it.
