McRaven's SEALs are underfire and Trump rescues them...AMAZING!

Trump lashed out at the decorated admiral, William McRaven, after Fox’s Chris Wallace noted McRaven’s criticisms of Trump’s anti-press rhetoric, shortly after the president took office in 2017. “We must challenge this statement and this sentiment that the news media is the enemy of the American people,” McRaven said at the time. “This sentiment may be the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime.”

Wallace raised McRaven’s comments in a televised back-and-forth with Trump who, nearly two years later, has only increased his antagonism towards the press. In response, Trump dismissed McRaven as a “Hillary Clinton backer and an Obama backer.” Then he went for the gut-punch by attacking McRaven’s military accomplishments.

Of course the news media is all over the dustup between Trump and McRaven.  

Of course no one is talking about the issue with SEALs (along with Marine Raiders) killing a US Army Special Forces Soldier or how another SEAL murdered a teenage boy that was admittedly a terrorist but was a non-combatant having been captured and was receiving treatment from other SEALs.

Trump to the rescue.

This is what annoys me about the dude.  He just has to have JUST A LITTLE FUCKING IMPULSE CONTROL and he would be winning so big.

But he doesn't.

The crazy thing?  The SEALs should be front and center right now.  McRaven should be explaining why his boys would do such a thing and explaining the culture in the organization.

But now?  Now they have cover.  Now they're able to cover a dispute between the President and the former SOCOM head/war hero.
