Sidenote.  I can't help but wonder if this is a play for continued sky high defense budgets (and with the emphasis on aircraft instead of ships, a ploy for more F-35s)?  Perhaps a way to put pressure on the politicians to NOT start another sequestration?  Sounds weird to say but it was lurking in the back of my brain housing group....
