"Nuclear weapons have changed the ancient art of amphibious warfare, because a concentration of amphibious assault vessels would provide a lucrative target for a nuclear bomb, forces must be dispersed..."

Drop the "nuclear weapon" and replace it with "anti-ship missiles" and it sounds like a rerun of what we faced in the 50's.
