No go zones in France?

Interesting.  I'm learning new stuff.  Apparently "no go" zones are not a thing in the US but there are "don't fuck around" zones where extra caution and backup on hand zones.    Basically lawless places where its necessary for the safety of public servants to apply appropriate discretion before entering.

Was that vague as hell?  Don't know how to say it better and I might be misunderstanding.
