Above is the news that we talked about with regard to Marine Tanks going away.

Below is the first valid explanation of why it's happening.

Whispers. Tied to GD pulling the support on the A1 from 2024/25 on to focus on the A2. Apparently the A2 isn't suitable/affordable and neither is MPF. Very sad occasion if it goes that way.

Eli does two things for us.  First she gives a reasonable explanation of why the M1A1 might be going the way of the dinosaur.  But at the same time she kinda invalidates it by stating that the MPF isn't suitable or sustainable.

Huh?

Protected, direct firepower in the form of a light tank isn't sustainable/affordable?

Then how the hell are we supporting the ACV?  Why are we dipping our toe into the sea battle when we're an amphibious force whose focus is supposed to be amphibious assault?

This defies understanding and HQMC is buried deep in its fox hole.  I would love to get a clear explanation.  I don't even need to agree but something clear would be welcome.
