China launches second Type 075 Amphibious Assault Ship The second Type 075 LHD was launched today (22st April) at the Hudong Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai. The launch was made at the day of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). Official sources point out that the ship is the first amphibious assault ship independently developed by China and has strong amphibious operations and the ability to perform diverse tasks. The Type 075 landing helicopter dock (NATO reporting name Yushen-class landing helicopter assault) is designed to support marines during landing operations against defended positions ashore. There is a flight deck and hangar facilities below decks. The Type 075 class will carry around 30 helicopters. These warships have a well deck and also support amphibious assault by sea. The Type 075 class ships can operate as flagships for expeditionary strike groups. The actual classification of Type 075 is an Amphibious Helicopter Dock. It is only slightly smaller than US America and Wasp-class amphibious assault ships. However, the Type 075 is significantly larger than Japanese and South Korean amphibious assault ships. Furthermore, there are indications that China plans to build an even larger amphibious assault ship. ⚓⚓⚓ Check out the Naval Library to find out the specifications of the Type 075 LHDs. Coming to a beach near you.  A heavily mechanized Chinese Marine Combat Team that is nearing the power of the USMC's Air Ground Task Force (MEU) and only lacking in air power to make it almost as formidable.

So what is our answer to this challenge?

We dump tanks.  We're talking about dumping LAR.  We cut the number of cannon artillery we have and we go all in on UAVs, Missiles (anti-ship) and hope.

Hope is a piss poor plan.

The rest ain't much better either.
