UK parliament concerned at lack of funding for Carrier Strike, requests detailed breakdown of F-35 programmatic costs. So pretty much what it requested in December 2017 (so long ago, the link to the story is no longer active so you'll just have to take my word for it)... https://t.co/PiKWaP9LWa pic.twitter.com/eY4fOcgOKR

Interesting isn't it.
We've been told that this airplane is out of the woods, is progressing nicely (even though the full rate production decision has been delayed yet ANOTHER year) and it's the second best thing flying today.
Yet our "special partner" can't get the info it needs?
Something is off here.
The Brits probably won't give us details but this bears watching. The final number of airplanes they buy will be telling. Kinda explains why we would sell this thing to the UAE now doesn't it.
Is this plane a warfighter or a flying con-job?
