🇮🇹🇩🇪 IFV #Rheinmetall #Lynx all'Esercito? Ipotesi e possibilità concrete per l'Italia.

Rheinmetall SpA garantisce:
- Produzione in Italia
- Trasferimento tecnologie*
- Libertà di "italianizzazione" dei mezzi tramite sistemi ITA (quindi collab. con il Consorzio IVECO-OTO) pic.twitter.com/jWoGlwV4j9
Its weird.
In the short term it would be fantastic. If the Europeans standardized on a few IFVs and were able to get the magic of group logistics going it would be great.
In the long term the killing of innovation by killing off various armor builders would be (I think) deadly, dangerous and debilitating.
Balancing industry is hard work.
If the Italians get real deal domestic production would that mean that their design bureaus would remain open? Is the old Soviet model the answer for European countries? Standardization on particular models (Leopard 2A7 for MBT for example) while everyone has a design bureau to work on the next big thing?
I don't know but its an option.
