I've been hesitant to jump into politics due to my experience last fall. It was pretty damn divisive, the thinking (IMO) was lacking and mostly emotional.
In my view, both parties view us all as insignificant and they use a few "push button" issues to stir the masses to their side (whichever side you pick) while they push in the middle together to box us in.
Long story short I see them as being mirror images with the differences being on the fringes.
Which brings me to this story.
It covers one of the differences.
Biden is big on "environment". So are many of his followers. It doesn't matter that most of the them have never been in the woods a day in their life (parks don't count), they want to save the planet from mega cities.
So why do I say this completes the circle? He's big on the environment, wants to increase targeted social spending and wants to raise taxes.
The market is always looking for a reason to increase prices. Between the idiot that got the ship stuck in the Suez (why isn't that being looked at as a possible terror attack by the navigator and why is the entire planet subject to one point of vulnerability in the supply chain?) and now this, the market is about to take off.
Add in my predicted increase in the gasoline tax and gas will be four dollars a gallon nationwide by the end of the summer.
It'll be disguised by a booming American economy because they'll open things up but make no mistake.
Buying gas will cost an arm and a leg.
