U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force Europe 21.1 (MRF-E), Marine Forces Europe and Africa, conduct a crew gunner live-fire range using Assault Amphibious Vehicles (AAV) in Blatindan, Norway, March 16, 2021. The range focused on assessing the accuracy and ability of the AAV’s to maneuver and fire upon targets at a distance. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
How devoid of logic is all the talk about tanks not being an effective part of the Marine Corps because of the weight?
Planners of old had worked this problem.
We had prepositioned gear...our heaviest gear...staged in danger areas around the world so that we could fly Marines in to equip them to fight the enemy. Now? Now we man the equipment instead of equipping the Marine.
THIS IS A CULTURE CHANGE FOLKS! THE VERY ESSENCE OF THE MARINE CORPS IS BEING ATTACKED. WE'RE BECOMING THE Air Force BUT WITH MISSILES!
