Is there really an advantage to mounting everything on the same platform?
The Army is also into long range fires and is mounting its HIMARS system with the FMTV-A2 as its base platform. Its cheaper than the Stryker. It has about the same mobility. Its easier to maintain. Did I say it was cheaper than the Stryker?
I'm an armor fan but not a purists.
What is the advantage of mounting every system on one platform when it can easily be carried by others?
