French Combined Arms Tactical Subgroup (SGTIA) LYNX 11 and a British SGTIA represented the Estonia battlegroup during the BOLD AXE exercise bringing together the contributing countries of the Estonia and Latvia battlegroups (Poland, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Canada, Latvia).
Armed for this exercise with Leclerc tanks, infantry fighting vehicles (VBCI), light armored vehicles (VBL) and front armored vehicles (VAB), the French detachment conducted combat phases in the 'objective to carry out opposition missions against the Latvia battlegroup.
The objective of the exercise was to test the defense and attack devices of the two forces. It made it possible to test the procedures between the French and British soldiers and to develop automatisms.
