U.S Marines with 1/12 fire an M777 A2 Howitzer during Spartan Fury 22.1 (12th Marines ...an artillery regiment...will be one of the next Littoral Regiments)

Note. With the move to make the 12th Marines one of the next littoral regiments, it would appear that the USMC has an excess of Infantry. Who would have thought that after decades of lacking enough amphibious ships we would enter a time when we have too many big decks, too many big amphibs and now we need light amphibious warships. The insignia says Marines but they're totally different. Berger should make a complete break with the past so that he can get his vision across the finish line. Rebrand this outfit as the Naval Defense Force and be done with it. The workhorses in Berger's new outfit will be missiles (anti-ship & anti-air) and electronic attack. The rest of the ground combat element is no more. They remain only as symbols. Better to kill the rest off then keep tokens laying around.
