I have a theory...at least it applies to the geriatrics that currently hold power in the US. Most of the leadership here is from the 60s and 70s. They came of age during high inflation, high gas prices and social unrest. It is their desire, rather intentional or unintentional, to relive their glory days. Unfortunately they fail to realize that while they were having fun in the various universities the rest of the country was "unsettled". Consider it their parting gift to the rest of us.

If Citi is right then that will be a kick in the guts to the British people.
