Weird. If the US was conducting the op the first thing we would have gone after is the power and command & control centers. Only once that was killed would we start hammering units in the field. Why it took the Russians so long to do this basic 101 shit is beyond me. Looking back on this thing I can only believe that they really thought that they would be welcomed as liberators. Nothing else makes sense.
