Russia's strikes did have a strategic objective....and it will affect Ukraine and Europe

 

Russia's retributory air strikes are heavily focused on Ukraine's energy grid.

This video shows a thermal power plant being destroyed in Kiev.

Didn't quite get the strikes in Ukraine. Everyone was saying that it was civilian targets but the body count (not to be morbid or uncaring) was small to say that civilians were the primary target. Then I find this. Other info too. The Russians were going after strategic targets. Namely Ukraine's energy sector. What I didn't know is that Ukraine was supplying energy to Europe. So it appears that Russia got a two'fer. They hurt both Ukraine and Europe (thanks to the reader for catching my mistake).
