Will the focus on sea denial leave Marine Corps Infantry behind the power curve against threat ground forces?

The USMC is all on in sea denial.

But where does that leave Marine Infantry?  Supposedly they're still gonna seize advanced bases but do they appear organized to undertake that tasking or have they been reduced to a raiding force?

As things stand it appears they're falling behind advancements that are taking place (experiments too) that the US Army and SOCOM are conducting.

The common refrain is that they "walk and chew bubble gum at the same time", but one has to wonder.

Add to it that you can bet body parts you love that Chinese Marines, Paratroopers and Special Ops (not to mention Rocket Forces) are all lining up to chew on an MLR and concern about that units survival if the balloon ever goes up MUST increase.

Sidenote.  How does the MLR reinforce if attacked?  Evacuate personnel when they're wounded?  Withdraw if facing overwhelming odds?  Answer.  They can't.  This is a die in place force.
