Combat Engineers along with their vehicles are necessary for modern warfare...unless you're a totally defensive force then all you need are a few CATs..

Combat Engineers and their breacher vehicles are gonna continue to be a necessary part of modern warfare...unless you're a totally defensive force or can only carry out assaults with light infantry. In that case all you need is a few caterpillars to dig the trenches/graves for your forces.
