Finding the terror chief in that town has probably led to the conclusion that more of the leadership is located there. Possibly some hostages too but I'm beyond convinced that Netanyahu gives NO fucks about their safe return. I've read that part of IDF doctrine is to "mow the grass" periodically. From some accounts there are those in their leadership that feel that the "yard" got out of control and that it was time to bush hog the entire thing. Wild doctrine (if true). Imagine in an alternative universe where the IDF actually sought to capture at least a few of the terrorist how this would have played out. Imagine if they had captured the Hamas chief instead of killing him. An opportunity to turn this off was missed.BREAKING: A massive number of forces is about to enter Gaza to clear Hamas from Jabaliya.
