Saudi Bradley IFV's are getting shredded in Yemen..

Thanks to Dragon for finding this vid...

Those Bradley IFV kills were gruesome.

But I wonder.  Who is teaching the terrorists where to hit our vehicles?  Those were precision shots by people who knew where to aim.  Is this information available on the internet?

If this video is more than just a few rare examples then Saudi forces are getting shredded.  The Pentagon has the real story but no one is even asking the question in our news media.

I said it was gonna get nastier.  Looks like it already is.

Police brutality is getting out of control!!!!

DAMN!

Just too fucking brutal!

Sidenote:  Every LEO I've ever run into has been beyond professional...and as tough as I am on them we need to remember that many many more are actually doing the hard work of building relationships in the community...many times with people that I wouldn't even say hi to...and yes, this is coming from a black male.

Two females graduate Ranger School...the silence is deafening...

So everywhere you turn you hear news that two females are going to graduate Ranger School.

The silence is deafening.

You have the usual suspects shouting about it but in my circles all I get is a nod, a replying nod and an instant understanding.

You can pencil whip a monkey thru a physics course.....but it doesn't make him a physicist...

Unrestricted Naval Combat with China?

Thanks to Massimo for the link!

via Janes...
China has a long history of enlisting civilian shipping for military purposes. In recent years the PLA has invested heavily in supporting the construction of new large ro-ro ferries and ro-ro pure car and truck carriers (PCTC) to ensure they can carry militarily useful cargoes.
On 18 June China Daily reported that the PLA Nanjing Military Command (opposite Taiwan) and the Shanghai Specifications Institute had spent five years devising new specifications "that require all civilian shipbuilders to ensure that their new vessels are suitable for military use in an emergency".
This is reflected in military mobility exercises. For example, in July PLA media reported a Nanjing Military Region Army mobility exercise featuring a ro-ro inland barge transporting about 10 ZBD86D infantry fighting vehicles and ZSD89 armoured personnel carriers.
The vehicles were offloaded at sea from a larger civilian transport dock, indicating the PLA may plan to assemble groups of larger civilian vessels that carry military vehicles at a waypoint, for carriage to shore by self-propelled barges.
Here.

Janes buried the lead on this.  Yeah the idea of using barges to transport the landing force is noteworthy, but even more stunning is the idea that the Chinese are openly admitting that their civilian ships are to be used for military operations.

How do you sort all the ships in the Pacific?

How do you determine friend from foe if hostilities begin...how do you know that civilian ship you've spotted is carrying Nike shoes and not YJ-10 missiles that could hazard your fleet?

The common sense solution would be to declare no go areas and sink any ship that enters the zone.   We're headed toward unrestricted naval combat if war with China comes.

WalMart misses...the economy is shaky....

Want a real read on the economy?

Watch WalMart.

WalMart missed their 2nd quarter target and downgraded their 4 year expectations.

Kramer and company are trying to spin this as being inconsequential because Home Depot outperformed.  Don't believe it.  Something is screwy with this economy.  Government reports aren't catching what's really going on.  Be aware.  China's stock market was down almost 300 over night.

I'm not calling for a Fall Crash (although many are now) but something weird is definitely happening.

Remember the Saudi/UAE tanks in Yemen?

via Almanar.com
The Yemeni army and the Popular Committees foiled an attempt by the Saudi-US aggression to advance towards the Al-Bayda' province in central Yemen.
Sources told Al-Manar TV that attacking forces - joined by al-Qaeda terrorists and armed mercenaries - tried on Monday to advance towards Al-Bayda' city before falling into the ambush of Yemeni forces in the point located between Abyan and Bayda' provinces.
The Yemeni national units thwarted the operation, leaving scores of the enemy elements killed and wounded, after they destroyed two Saudi armored vehicles and seized 6 other Emirati vehicles that were used during the attack on Aden city.
In a similar development, a unit of the Yemeni forces managed to directly hit a Saudi fighter tank deployed in al-Khoba site, where the fighters sneaked into the Saudi military post and targeted a tanks assembly point.
They also managed to destroy a Saudi tank and to set another armored vehicle ablaze.
In Najran border area, Yemeni fighters fired guided missiles on an Abrams tank with 5 Saudi soldiers on board. Their bodies were seen flying through the place.
Here.

The first line in this "story" makes it suspect but information from that war zone has been extremely spotty for good reason.  No independent journalist with any common sense would travel to that region.

So we depend on jaded news sources.

What can we tell from this posting?

Fighting is still taking place.  Some of it appears to be quite intense.  Claims of vehicles...M1A2 Abrams being destroyed has to be taken with a bit of doubt....at least until we see the pics and get confirmation from the Saudi's.

In the Middle East, no news is bad news.  If the Saudi's were rampaging and destroying the rebel forces we would hear about it because they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.

This is probably gonna get even nastier before its over...and its nasty already.

Modern Policing Conundrum...they're no good in the woods...

via Chron.com
— A man suspected of killing a retired dentist, taking three men hostage and wounding two deputies was likely traveling a section of the famed Pacific Crest Trail to elude searchers during an 18-day manhunt, authorities said. Investigators believe 34-year-old Benjamin Peter Ashley was headed back to the trail when he was confronted and shot by deputies Saturday behind a mini-mart in Inyokern, Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said. An autopsy performed Monday determined Ashley's death to be a homicide because two of the wounds inflicted by officers were fatal. Youngblood said the autopsy also found that a self-inflicted wound was fatal. The full report hasn't been completed and more details were pending. Asked about a motive for the crime spree, Youngblood said, "the mindset of this man we'll never know."
Here.

Interesting.  Has anyone noticed a recurring theme when it comes to successfully evading police?

The cops are no good in the woods.

From the escaped prisoners in New York, to the guy that went on a cop killing rampage in California, to the unabomber and now this guy.

For some reason law enforcement has tremendous issues operating outside of any urban area...and alot of times the only way suspects are caught is when they take the risk of heading into town.
