Afghanistan about to get "interesting"...Turkey to send Mercenaries to fight Taliban...

Just a plain weird fight. Now we see Turkey sending Syrian Mercenaries to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban? I thought they were good with Pakistan that I ASSUME (could most definitely be wrong) supported the Taliban. I really believe this was suppose to serve as a kind of back door in a fight against China but Turkey's interest in the country is just beyond me. Really curious move. Any ideas?

Berger continues to deactivate units but 8th & I is at full strength...the parades will continue while combat power dies before our eyes....

After a dreary, rainy morning yesterday, the Marines brightened up the day with another fantastic performance here at “The Oldest Post!” The hosting official for the evening was Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, Marine Corps Forces Reserve, Marine Corps Forces South, and the guest of honor was The Honorable Jack Bergman, United States Representative for Michigan’s First Congressional District.

I've followed the herd and have been using Safariland for my duty rig but I think I might dabble with the G-Code for a range setup just to see how I like it.

Drummond is right. The Brits (along with Rheinmetall) did a good job of modernizing the Challenger but the numbers are just too small. They're tied at the hip with us on everything else they should have just bit the bullet and gotten M1A2C's....

This helicopter appears to be in the class of the CH-53D. Not up to King Stallion standards but capable. The Chinese are improving at an impressive rate. Evolution is how they're doing it while taking advantage of revolutionary advances based on stealing Western tech or simply buying it from the Russians. As much as we complain, its really a quite practical solution to rapidly modernizing.
