Type 003 Aircraft Carrier

I think we better leave this one to the submarine force. Don't think Naval Aviation, the surface fleet or Marines taking shots with anti-ship missiles will bring this one down. Yeah, let's hope the sub boys are up to the task.

Pray for my boys down South...in N. Louisiana this storm has been nothing...

 It's crazy.

Got all spun up for a terrible storm but thankfully for us (practically anyone above I-10), its been a non-event (at least here in N. Louisiana, the storm did a jiggle and headed off towards MS.  They're getting hammered hard.

Long story short?

So far I've seen worse thunderstorms.  I'm good so thanks for the well wishes.

Pray for my boys down South though.  From what I've been monitoring its been bad.  Real bad.  Once again its the flooding (with some serious wind damage) that is gonna wreck people.

Some say Louisiana don't start till you get past Baton Rouge/Lafayette.  Of course I don't agree.  But one thing is certain.

They're paying a heavy price for living on the coast right now.  Industry is too (that's common though...when a hurricane hits Houston they're facing the same issue with just a much bigger population).

To be expected.  Year round outdoor activities from hunting/fishing, boating, riding your ATV, camping and just all the other things you do in the "sportsmen's paradise" come with the built in price of hurricanes.

Gonna take a short beat and post pics of my work bag, INCH bag, ITEOTWAWKI bag and some other shit I'm doing.

Australian Defense probably puts out the best images of any dept on the planet...

If you haven't then take the time to check out their image bank.

Truly awesome.

The things they do with UAVs taking overhead shots and stuff is indescribably good.  The images of the troops in the field doing work and not looking like its a personal post for facebook or instagram is especially refreshing.

I focus mostly on their Army but the entire establishment is on the same page and puts out high quality pics for the world to see.

A first class shop in everyway.

I'd rank the Norwegians second, Russia third because they're all about letting you know what they're working on, and finally the US (can't decide between Canada...which is also good but has a smaller portfolio, the UK which is trending in the direction of US photojournalist...more instagram type pics, and Japan...I think its the language barrier that works against them the translations to English are just so awkward sometimes for 5th place).

Serious honorable mention goes to Turkey.  They're not higher because it comes from their defense manufacturers and not their DoD.  FNSS is a favorite...always will be they're awesome.  The other are prolific but the names seem to always be changing.

The movie "Tombstone" makes so much more sense now...especially one iconic statement!

doorkickersunion_ Reposted from @bertkuntz @valkilmerofficial is this true????

A huckle bearer would be the person carrying a coffin, essentially a pallbearer. According to this theory, what Holliday should have said in the film is, “I'm your huckle bearer.” The theory goes that Val Kilmer accidentally said huckleberry instead, and the line stuck.

I’m sitting here eating a overcompensated bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with super cold whole milk and reevaluating my entire life.

It’s a good day to be alive. Don’t f*ck it up!

The Taliban have 85 Billion Dollars of US gear...they have one of the most capable forces in the region...hybrid doesn't describe their force...

I know the idea was for the Afghan (ANA) govt to use these weapons to hold onto power...BUT!~!!!

Once it became apparent that they were cutting and running why didn't we launch strikes to destroy it?

If the Taliban revert to form then we've LAVISHLY equipped them for their attacks against the West.

We just birthed the next terror group from hell if this doesn't work as hoped...and hope is a lousy plan!

Nice flying...

Hurricane Ida...Here we go again...

Yeah! Here we go again.

Blogging gonna be lighter than it usually is (lately) cause I gotta get my "house" go bag, "work" go bag and other shit checked/re-checked.

Preps are done but just dotting i's and crossing t's is the thing. Storm sped up on me so it's a minor change in plans.  Getting in to work will be easy.  The 4in lift and the light bar/can lights I put on the bronco will see me thru.  Its just what comes after.

Ya know it really ain't the hurricane per se thats the issue.  Its what comes with it.  Rain and winds.  Rain causes flooding and only so much water can run off so fast and the wind causes all the beautiful shade producing trees to become sledge hammers against powerlines, houses and cars.

Still no worries.  Back to normal soon.

Yeah...Greenwald explains why I haven't covered those drone strikes....I don't buy it for one minute...
