Dome shaped homes are the future for hurricane proofing
Was kicking us around with my boys tonight. Regulation should be put in place that you can't build on the coast of Louisiana unless you are building the dome shaped home.
Dome shaped homes are the most effective form of housing when it comes to a natural disaster. They've been proving to survive tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.
It'll be an unusual sight to see but while I despise regulation we should normalize dome shaped homes for the future.
Tell me where I'm wrong.
Note. I'm trying blogging from my phone to see how it works if it's just plain terrible let me know.
Do the Dave Ramsey thing... save money, don't end up in a FEMA shelter.
Hey gents. I had the pleasure of working at a FEMA shelter for hurricane Ida. There were no problems, no issues, no knuckleheads, no crackheads/meth heads, etc.
The facility was clean, food was provided and things we're good to go.
But!! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Despite it being clean, despite security being there it is not where you want to be.
Take it from someone who knows. Do the Dave Ramsey thing. Save money for disaster. Save money so your family doesn't end up in the shelter. Do your preps while the sun is shining. We've all seen September 11th, hurricane Katrina, hurricane Ida, tornadoes, forest fires, unexpected deaths, hell even tsunamis.
When the call comes get the f*** out. Have a go bag for you and your family so that you can walk away in 30 minutes or less. You can rebuild your life. You can start back from zero. But you can't do it if you're dead you can't do it if you're not prepared.
