Dutch Police shooting at Farmers. The Dutch Govt is using desperate measures to contain this protest. This is how easy people power can bring any government down simply by using their tools to block the arteries of commerce. You’ll see much more of this.pic.twitter.com/hPi0nuiMDz

Comments are all talking about "Agenda 21" (thought that was just a fevered internet meme) and saying that the govt is getting ready to go after bank accounts. Noted! Two teenagers at the gym I workout at signed up for the Marines and I'm a bit disturbed.
I don't know them personally, only in passing. My conversations with them has been about the Marines (tatoos - sticker etc..), my work, and ALOT about workout advice.
Now they've gone and done this. I imagine there are worse things but when I asked what their MOS would be they both said 0311.
I don't like the direction the "new" Marine Corps is headed and I'm beyond tempted to tell them to bail. If they want adventure they'd be better served going Airborne/Ranger.
What has me spun is if I played any role in them making this decision. They're not gonna like what they're getting into. They're being sold the Marine Corps past, not its future.
What say ya'll. Should I give them my opinion and tell them to steer clear or sit back and wait for them to come back bitter as hell?
Sri Lanka has less than a day’s worth of fuel remains, says the energy minister...We Are Entering A Stage Of Global Chaos
via Al-Jazeera
Sri Lanka has less than a day’s worth of fuel left, the energy minister says, with public transport grinding to a halt as the country’s economic crisis deepens.
Power and energy minister Kanchana Wijesekera on Sunday said petrol reserves were about 4,000 tonnes, just below one day’s worth of consumption, as queues snaked through the main city of Colombo for kilometres.
Global Chaos here we come. We're about to see mayhem sprout up all over the world and I'm not sure the US military is ready.
The focus has been on Ukraine to such a degree that I believe we're ahead of the Pentagon curve just using open source info (and the network of readers here!).
What happens when our weak and feeble leadership is forced to chew gum and walk at the same time?
I'm not sure but so far they've failed when it comes to solving problems within their own borders. I have no confidence they'll do better in helping small poor countries teetering on the edge.
The South Korean Marine Corps is developing the KAAV-2 (think EFV!).
A study released by NOAA looking at four decades of tropical activity finds that the reduction of air pollution in the North Atlantic may be contributing to the rising number of hurricanes.
The irony is too delicious. We're getting wrecked because we're getting cleaner air? I wonder what other unintended consequences are gonna come from the environment crusade.A study released by NOAA looking at four decades of tropical activity finds that the reduction of air pollution in the North Atlantic may be contributing to the rising number of hurricanes. https://t.co/Th1jTpVgwt
