2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (LAR), 2d Marine Division conducts Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE)

Tell the truth Sat. Face it fellas. Taiwan will fall....

Have you been watching the Chinese firepower display around Taiwan?

I have.

The sad truth?  They can break Taiwan...break it bad.

Worse?

If we're honest with ourselves and take into account the fact that decision makers in DC will have to be notified, meet and determine what course to take...that once the Chinese make a move on Taiwan that every base we have in the first island chain will be monitored for troops, aircraft and ship movement...and bearing in mind that IF WE'RE LUCKY we'll get a decision (assuming we'll attempt to defeat the Chinese in their goal of taking Taiwan) to go 4 to 8 hours after they've launched...also assuming that we've defeated any deception campaign and our intel has made us aware of their intentions.....

They can still take Taiwan.

We fiddled in sand wars and ignored the big bad that American consumer greed, bribes to leaders and normalcy bias in the Pentagon created.

Taiwan will fall.

Tell me why I'm wrong.

Future of Warfare: Reconnaissance/Counter-Reconnaissance

So the USMC is now just a sensor node.  Everything is geared toward providing targeting information for the joint force.  This is the future of warfare?  If so then you can do a majority of it unmanned!

Why waste Marines on a job that can be done better with airborne, seaborne and undersea drones?  Drop ground sensors all over the place.  Increase the number of sats in orbit!

This IS a new Marine Corps that has NO relationship with the REAL Marine Corps' history.

If these bubbas properly explained this shit then case the colors and rename this organization.

They're making the service into a fucking drone.  Drones are meant to be expendable and/or disposable.  That's what Berger's Force Design 2030 is doing to the NEW Marine Corps.

NOTE.  It just dawned on me.  What was the last weapon system we heard of that placed on emphasis on information?  What weapon system tried to sell the idea that its sensors were so far ahead that even though the airplane didn't fly as fast, as far, carry as much it was still a war winner because it had sensor fusion?

Yeah the F-35.

The USMC is becoming the joint force version of the F-35.  They're talking about sensor fusion only.  Nothing else is brought to the fight except information so that the joint force has targeting data...or can "make decisions faster".

These boys are gonna get fucked up in the next fight.
