Weird. If the US was conducting the op the first thing we would have gone after is the power and command & control centers. Only once that was killed would we start hammering units in the field. Why it took the Russians so long to do this basic 101 shit is beyond me. Looking back on this thing I can only believe that they really thought that they would be welcomed as liberators. Yes! That includes going to the gym after your shift, a dash to the grocery store etc...Yeah I know that homes get broken into also but vehicles are just too easy (better yet, get the stuff home and then make that run!).

If you MUST have such gear in your vehicle then get a good safe/storage drawers etc...that are bolted down.

The number one place that firearms are stolen is when a personal vehicle is broken into.

Let's stop making it easy for the bad guys.
