No light on in Ukraine after sunset...

US intelligence has been damn near miraculous in the fight between Russia and Ukraine.
Having said that, you suddenly have our SecDef calling his counterpart in Russia. I actually read the readout of the conversation and it was vague as hell.

Now we have the Russian SecDef calling our (the US) SecDef? He requested the conversation? Its the 2nd time in 3 days that they've spoken?
AFTER MONTHS OF ACTING AS IF EACH OTHER DIDN'T EXIST?
I don't know what's coming. I'm sure the Pentagon/CIA/DIA does.
My spider sense is tingling. We're seeing upper level contacts that has been few and far between as of late.
So yeah. I'm concerned.

I agree.
I can't put my finger on it but there is something off with this fight. Even the terrorist in the Middle East fought in a more organized manner.
That's not chaotic. Its just confused. Both sides are dazed and confused. I've been looking for lessons learned from this fighting but maybe there aren't any. The best that can be said is that the fighting is serving as a real life test of new weapons and concepts.

These Tatras were made for special needs of Czech special forces unit SOG (Special Operations Group) in Afghanistan. Cabin was cut off to allow transportation by C-130 plane and the vehicles were fitted with various armament and equipment. Only 2 were ever made. pic.twitter.com/SUulZmS2i8

| A couple of my holsters. The old standby Safariland and the new hotness the Alien Gear LVL 2 Slim. Why do I like it? Cause its a level 2 holster in a level 1 world. The idea of being in civilian clothes (mind you I never open carry out of uniform) and not have at least a level 2 holster is just insane to me. I've watched too many snatch and grabs out of level 1 holster that I just can't go that way. |
