Russia is accusing the UK of blowing up the Nordstream pipeline.

Right off the top.

I'm just passing along news that I find. Spare me with the propaganda bullshit.

Next is the fact that its kinda amazing how that subject has just disappeared from the news with NO evidence provided by the US that the Russians did it (as many pundits claimed). I've stated on this blog that US intel knows exactly who did this deed and voiced suspicion that they didn't point the finger directly at Russia.

Last. This fits the actions of the Biden admin. They hate fossil fuels and will do anything to cut off Europe from Russian oil...the people of the EU be damned.

Wow! Obama is being reminded of past actions...

This is the biggest canary in the coal mine that is being ignored by many. Luckily a FEW Americans remember 2014 and what happened that year.

Marine training unit partners with Coast Guard to conduct search and rescue training

A CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Heavy Marine Helicopter Training Unit 302, Marine Corps Station New River, North Carolina, flies over the Gulf of Mexico during a training exercise, Oct. 25, 2022. The CH-53E can carry a 26,000 pound light armored vehicle or 16 tons of cargo for 100 miles. The helicopter is compact enough to deploy on amphibious assault ships and has the armament, speed and agility to qualify as much more than a heavy lifter.

Is this the first admission that they were wrong on the covid lockdowns?

Not only no, but FUCK no. I got preached to on my own blog about how the greater good was being served by these morons that pushed fear over commonsense. Fuck them all!

I consider this to be the most important vehicle being delivered to ground forces this decade...

Luv the Redback IFV. Like the Boxer and the Lynx. The Patria 8x8 will always be a favorite. The Turks are putting out some fierce and quite capable armored vehicles. The ACV looks awesome on land but I'm unsure about it crossing the surf and its swim speed.

All of the above is good and I'm betting will only get better.

BUT!

In light of the drone threat I believe the bad boy at the top of this blogpost is the most important vehicle to hit US land forces this decade.

The only problem?

The USMC probably won't get any (and FD2030 almost requires it!) and it doesn't swim.

Then again those anti-ship missiles on JLTVs won't swim either so maybe we don't need to reinvent the wheel or even put it on another platform.

Just add Strykers to the setup or integrate Army vehicles/anti-air units into our formations.  I mean we're doing it with tanks right?

Zelensky isn't reading the room...He's pissing off even Biden!

Forget the military aspects of this thing.

The biggest threat to the Ukrainians is that more Americans will become aware of the massive amount of aid that we're providing.

Not only military aid but the ECONOMIC assistance to keep their govt afloat (ie...to pay the salaries of millionaires who steal that aid to fill their own bank accounts).

The sad truth?

Doesn't matter who wins the war now.  Ukraine is a battered and broken country that will not recover till at least 2050 at best.

Europe has a failed state in its center.

Those calling for diplomacy (like me!) are looking into the near future and see continued chaos after all this is over.  Want to talk about crime?  The fuel for the crime is being sent on a daily basis to Ukraine (money and weapons).  Want to know where the next mega terrorist attack is being fueled?  Yeah Ukraine.  Wonder how many terrorists will sit at the end of a runway and take shots at airliners with missing manpads.  Want to see the destruction and devastation when a few missing anti-tank missile systems are used on govt buildings thru out Europe!

The pain and misery is contained.

The seeds for the pain and misery to spread are being planted right now.

Why do we continue to see delayed reactions by helicopter pilots when their aircraft are hit?

This is just a layman's view.

The view of a guy that's always rode in the back and never had comms on or manned a machine gun.  PURE passenger!

But one thing I've noticed at least from this fight on both sides (and a few times from stuff in Iraq), is that helicopter pilots seem to have a delayed reaction to their aircraft being hit.

Once again, this is a layman's view, but it would seem appropriate to land that thing as fast as possible so that everyone can live.

Fast jet pilots will punch out in seconds (yeah they have ejection seats but big jet pilots seek to get down as fast as possible too), so with a vehicle that can land vertically I don't get the delay.

Can anyone explain it?

It's got to be more than hubris and pilots thinking they can fix the problem or "ride it out".  I refuse to believe that's the reason so what is it?
