Russian Hybrid Warfare is working....Putin's Chef's statement now makes sense.

I would like to make a point. Rather a counterpoint.

I contend that a conventional war with China will chew thru so much equipment and people that we will rely on our existing warstock and even gear from our boneyards to keep us in the fight (as well as accelerated, truncated training of replacements) that to continue to supply Ukraine is actually NOT in our best interests.

But onto this post.

So many have bought into the Russian interference meme that few consider how Ludacris the claim actually is.

Americans are bombarded with all kinds of information from a WIDE VARIETY of sources.

From the far left to far right each individual can basically pick and choose what he/she consumes.

To think that an outside country can come into our political sphere and make a difference in a country as divided as we currently are is LAUGHABLE.

But what can they ACTUALLY DO?

They can form themselves into being a big bad with outsized capability to fuck with us.

That is what Russia is doing and the FBI, News Media and even average citizens are biting on.

My guess?

We've done more to fuck with other nation's elections with DIRECT CONSEQUENCES than anyone has ever done to fuck with our own.

3d LAAB deploys G/ATOR during BVII

I wonder how long it takes to set all this up. It looks so slow. I know. Stealth will save them. But if discovered these boys are gonna be pounded like cold meat.

U.S. Marines with 3d Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, establish a sensing unit of employment during exercise Bougainville II at Kalaeloa Airfield, Hawaii, Oct. 28, 2022. To rehearse flexibility, a 3d MLR sensing unit of employment displaced and established a sensor EAB to enable early warning of air and missile threats. Bougainville II is a field exercise that allows the MLR and its subordinate units to conduct expeditionary advanced base operations across the island of Oahu. BVII displays the MLR’s ability to rapidly establish and displace EABs while executing command and control in a dispersed environment. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt. Israel Chincio)

Geez.

These Marines are playing the role of a modern day picket ship.

Hypothetical. If Republicans win the midterms and start pushing oversight on money/weapons sent to Ukraine, then will Europe step up to fill the void?

 via AXIOS

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said Thursday that Ukraine will not receive any more funding if Republicans retake control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections, per the Hill.

Driving the news: "Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine," Greene said at a Trump rally in Iowa. "Our country comes first."

"The only border they care about is Ukraine, not America’s southern border," she said of Democrats. "They don’t care about our border or our people."

Greene is not the only Republican that feels this way.  Republican leadership has been vacillating between promising restrictions/tough oversight/cuts to keeping the aid flowing like water in the ocean.

Let's assume that the current recession we're in (amazed that the news media and business is actually going along with the changed definition of two quarters of falling GDP) is actually acknowledged next and things get a bit rougher at home.

High energy prices continue.  High food prices continue.  Just a terrible economy.

With the Republicans in control, their base demands a focus on problems here in the United States.

If Congress ties the hands of the President, then how does Europe fill the void?

Could they fill the void?

Do they have the military industrial capability to supply Ukraine without US assistance?

China is studying our playbooks religiously...

This should cause a bit of concern and put in question our open system. China is taking our Manuals, studying them in detail and using it as part of their Officer training program. Is it time to consider such material classified? Knowing the current gen it'll still get into the open and I'm pretty sure they've penetrated TRADOC so maybe there is no use at this point. I wonder if their Marine Corps does the same with USMC Manuals?

German people are lacking faith in their govt's action to ensure warmth this winter
