Wait is this true? The Spetsnaz captured an American Cobra Attack Helicopter during the Vietnam War?

 Note.  Let me put this up front.  I follow this dude on Twitter named, Grey Dynamics.  He covers many special operations outfits from around the world.  While scrolling I saw he had an article on the Spetsnaz and was kinda curious as to why they haven't made a bigger appearance in the Ukraine war.  Then I stumbled across the above...

Flying Joe

The Americans had been using a forward-operating base deep in the Cambodian jungle, codenamed “Flying Joe.” Likewise, Flying Joe was home to mainly rescue pilots and airmen who carried out search and rescue missions for downed pilots in Vietnam. One night, during the darkness of the hour and the silence of the jungle, 10 GRU Spetsnaz operatives fought their way into the base. Subsequently, the battle between the GRU and the American pilots left 15 Americans dead or wounded, with only three dead GRU operators on the scene. Interview with former Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Ukraine Peace Effort...

"On March 4, 2022, Bennett traveled to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin. In the interview, he detailed his mediation at the time between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he said he coordinated with the US, France, Germany, and the UK.

Bennett said that both sides agreed to major concessions during his mediation effort. For the Russian side, he said they dropped “denazification” as a requirement for a ceasefire. Bennett defined “denazification” as the removal of Zelensky. During his meeting in Moscow with Putin, Bennett said the Russian leader guaranteed that he wouldn’t try to kill Zelensky.

The other concession Russia made, according to Bennett, is that it wouldn’t seek the disarmament of Ukraine. For the Ukrainian side, Zelensky “renounced” that he would seek NATO membership, which B ennett said was the “reason” for Russia’s invasion.

Reports at the time reflect Bennet’s comments and said Russia and Ukraine were softening their positions. Citing Israeli officials, Axios reported on March 8 that Putin’s “proposal is difficult for Zelensky to accept but not as extreme as they anticipated. They said the proposal doesn’t include regime change in Kyiv and allows Ukraine to keep its sovereignty.”

Discussing how Western leaders felt about his mediation efforts, Bennett said then-British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took an “aggressive line” while French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz were more “pragmatic.” Bennett said President Biden adopted “both” positions.

But ultimately, the Western leaders opposed Bennet’s efforts. “I’ll say this in the broad sense. I think there was a legitimate decision by the West to keep striking Putin and not [negotiate],” Bennett said.< /p>

When asked if the Western powers “blocked” the mediation efforts, Bennet said, “Basically, yes. They blocked it, and I thought they were wrong.”

Ukraine Russia War - Beyond the Propaganda w/ Col. Doug Macgregor - MUST WATCH VID!!!

 
The US and allies just pledged tanks. The US just pledged ANOTHER massive aid package. Other European nations are pledging massive aid packages. 

Zelensky is in the UK. Yet somehow many of you don't get the sense that the overriding message we're getting about how this war is going isn't being spun? Many of you don't sense that the talk of imminent Ukrainian victory is just plain off? 

Some of you need your spidey sense adjusted.

Just a "what if".

What if I'm right and the Ukrainians are burning thru men and material at a much faster rate than the general public knows.

What if the Ukrainian govt has been on the verge of collapse for months now but is only being propped up by the West.

What if we suddenly see Russian advances, not a push to Kyiv but a solidification of the breakaway provinces along with enough ground to create a buffer zone.

What do you think the reaction of the PUBLIC in the West will be?

I can tell you now there will be damn near panic in the Pentagon. This will be the second loss in less than two years.  You're talking about a legacy item for both the President and several generals.

Of course the public here and most especially in Europe has been conditioned that this is a fight for the survival of democracy.  Poland will be itching to cross the border.  Leadership in the UK will too.

France and Germany (leaders) will want moderation but the public will shout them down.

An alliance designed to counter the Soviet Union, that has morphed into a group of nations designed to fight ONE nation will probably get the fight they wanted....this time in more favorable conditions but against that one nation that is filled with nukes.

If the Chinese are smart they will use that opening to attack Taiwan.

We will have two major regional wars.

We will have to decide which one to fully engage in.

The fight against China will decide the fate of our nation but the pull of Ukraine will dull common sense.

We're setting ourselves up to lose it all for the most corrupt nation in Europe all because of memes, not what is best for America.

This is just a small sampling of stuff. There is alot more but can't sift thru it all to grab the talk of our ship being in the area (but I'll keep trying). We need some messaging on this or else we're gonna have another people having us taking licks we don't deserve.

Ukraine using chemical weapons?

This is the vid!

This vid has been burning up military twitter!

The usual sites were talking about this Russian soldier suffering from hypothermia and getting "stuck" by his gear and then drowning.

That never made sense and now I see this allegation made.

If Ukraine is using chemical weapons then that opens stuff up in a way that is damn near unimaginable.

We always said that if any enemy force used chemical weapons on US forces then we could use nukes (tactical) on them.

I wonder if anyone, including the Russians will verify this (or even want to).  IF IT IS CHEMICAL WEAPONS then Pandora's box is beginning to open.

Prayers Up for Turkey. They got smashed...

Prayers up for these folks.

Haven't been able to follow it but from what little I have seen the international assistance effort has been weak at best.

The devastation is extreme so I really expected better, I don't know if the tepid response is due to policy disputes or if something more nefarious is at hand.

What is concerning and a bit puzzling is that a US geological ship was in the area before the quake.

Some in Turkey are claiming that the US had a part in it.  While I doubt it, I can't help but wonder.  The timing is just plain strange.

Regardless I hope more is done.  The death toll will surely rise, they definitely need the aid of the world community and it needs to come quick...lives are at stake.
