You've seen the terrain. Open fields, then tree lines with trenches dug on the edges. How do you let the enemy get close enough to your trench to assault thru it? So you're telling me that the enemy is able to cross OPEN terrain, get inside your trench (or on top of it) and you only recognize the assault at the last minute? Even then we're seeing one, maybe two dudes trying to attack these position! ONE OR TWO! Not even a fucking squad. Just one or two guys. I don't get it. I would luv to see what the School Of Infantry has to say about the tactics we're seeing.

If we're going back into the jungle in a big way, and I really can't tell with this EABO/Stand In Force shit, then we might want to dust off all the lessons learned from the Vietnam conflict. This Tweet reminded me of my pops telling me how they could smell the enemy and vice versa. The problem today is that it will take many days in the bush to get "natural" and even with that gun oil, MREs, and other things will still give you away. Much to relearn and apparently not much time.
