Turkish drone-maker, BAYKAR Defence, introduced the unmanned aircraft MIUS (means Milli Insansiz Ucak Sistemi-National Unmanned Aircraft System) on 20th July on Twitter.

They made the announcement on the first day of Eid, and declared it as a gift.

According to the rendering Baykar shared, MIUS will take off from LHD Anadolu, which is planned to be converted into a drone-carrier ship after Turkey was removed from the F-35 project with CAATSA sanctions.

Baykar had announced that they have been working on a brand-new drone model, TB-3 Bayraktar, and the head of Turkish Defence Industries told the press that LHD Anadolu is planned to carry 30-50 drones and will be able to control 10 drones in the air.

After Baykar’s announcement Selcuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of Baykar, stated on a video he released on Twitter that MIUS will be able to fly around 1 mach speed.

Hearing the CNO this week has been educational.

Surprisingly honest too.

He didn't go all the way but far enough to know the truth (finally).

The US Navy is fucked up.

It no longer has Naval Superiority.

It is no longer viable in the Pacific.

The USMC must assist with the sea battle (the US Army too) because the Navy along with the US Air Force are incapable of carrying the day.

This will have major ramifications for the nation.

Navy leadership (along with a couple of Presidents and Congress) have failed the nation.

The crazy thing?

We must become the guerrilla force to counter China, not the other way around.

Over committed, too wasteful and the loss of a true warrior ethos means that I have little confidence we will recover this lost ground.

How long before we're defending our own hemisphere instead of projecting power?

I'm personally loving this new design. This is what the world needs. A modern day F-16 (or Gripen). An affordable fighter that can be produced in numbers. This is the Russian version just like the F-35 was supposed to be ours. The interesting thing will be if it actually delivers. I'm an F-35 critic but even ignoring that, you have to admit that the plane was kept airborne by promises to deliver rather than by its performance. I am anxiously watching to see how the Russian version turns out.

Interesting. We're tilting hard toward the Chinese in the Pacific but the Chinese seem to be tilting hard toward the Indians. Do they see them as a more urgent threat?
