China: US 'to Face an Unbearable Price' Over Taiwan

Marines & fans of "The Last Airbender" will enjoy this one!

“Flexport just contracted to fly three 747 loads of potatoes to Japan to help with the French fry shortage” ... it might sound funny but this is really ominous - EYES ON THIS ISSUE!

 via BNN Bloomberg

The fast-food company has said it expects the issue to be resolved by New Year’s Eve and that it was arranging alternative shipment options like airplanes. McDonald’s Holdings Co. Japan couldn’t confirm or deny it’s using Flexport to import its potatoes. The sale of medium and large size fries will resume as planned on Dec. 31, a spokeswoman said by telephone on Wednesday. Flexport’s Petersen didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The shortage isn’t just limited to Japan. In New York, iconic burger joint J.G. Melon said in an Instagram post last week that it was suspending sales of its cottage fries due to supply-chain issues. Flow of products from cream cheese to chicken tenders has also come under strain.

Here

I have never experienced empty store shelves till this pandemic.  If it extends to food in a major way (I consider potatoes a staple) then things are gonna be dicey.

In my opinion this could be ominous.

Can you imagine what will happen in the West if we're faced with food shortages?

NOT BEING ABLE TO BUY YOUR FAVORITE FAST FOOD BURGER KINDA SHORTAGE, but a real deal no more rice, wheat, poultry etc...kinda shortage.

The crime wave we've seen before will go crazy.  I've seen people commit crimes for what they want.  Can you imagine what they'll do to eat?

Marines say they're being 'crushed' over vaccine refusal: 'A political purge'

Story here.

I know my Marine Corps. They're slow walking this thing. The "slackers" that refuse are being discharged first while they give the remaining another chance to get right with the order.

What I wonder is how many Marines have refused to take the shot. Rumors have it that upwards of 10K Marines have.

If that's true then this will be a total shock to the Corps...an opportunity too though.  Make no mistake about it.  The Corps is about to get smaller and Berger has already said that he will shed personnel to get tech.

Hmm.

After further thought this could be exactly what they've been waiting for.  Additional friction will be added to the Corps that has seen NOTHING BUT friction over Berger's term but he also said that he was willing to embrace risk.  Yeah.  This could be the danger/opportunity scenario everyone talks about.

This is gonna be ONE HELLUVA competition in a program that will/should get a ton of attention. 6x6's are the future with the massive weight gain of 8x8's. To be quite honest at the weights we're seeing we should be moving to 10x10's to lower ground pressure but fashion holds sway.

Kinda disappointed that the Patria 6x6 isn't being entered.  As things stand with the projected lineup I think (just my opinion don't hate) that the K806 WAV will win.

First Recce KIA since the 80's

Rest in peace Warrior.

The S. Africans are operating much further North than I thought. Wonder why that is.  Can't be the crime problem in Mozambique...so what gives?
