Rant (real short). Executive Orders & Presidential Pardons

 Executive Orders.

I don't know where this came from but I don't recall it being taught in civics classes. I see it as being almost dictatorial and wonder why Congress isn't fighting about its loss of power OR the US people up in arms about it.  You wanna make a change?  Get Congress to write a bill.  Politic for it.  Work for it.  But don't use your office to make changes because you think the changes need to be made.  I'm seeing too many work arounds when it comes to how our govt functions.  Biden used them like a madman and now Trump is about to.  From my chair?  Fuck your party this shit is disturbing.

Presidential Pardons.

Ordinarily this one has been benign to me.  Lately its getting out of hand.  Biden is about to preemptively pardon several people?  Why?  It smacks of shenanigans. 

TLDR?

In many ways our govt is broken but these two are what I point to and say hold up. We gotta do better and hold leadership accountable.  The fact that we had a ZOMBIE president for the majority of his term should cause us all to pause.  That means we had bureaucrats running the country.  No matter how big a net you cast you can't catch them all.

I don't get the Tik Tok ban.

American companies get the same info that they say the Chinese are collecting and they're selling it to all sorts of outfits.

No one cares.

But I'm suppose to be up in arms because the Chinese have an app (one that I don't use) that does the same thing?  Like they really give a fuck what 99% of Americans are up to on the net?

They have penetrated our water supply, our electrical distribution plants, our medical records, our defense dept, they've been inside most of our critical infrastructure and I'm supposed to be worried about the private data they're hunting on the 1%?

Something about the whole Tik Tok thing really never made sense.

To be blunt it looks like a backdoor attempt to push for bans and registration on the net.

Never once did the Congress critters fully explain why we needed to ban Tik Tok. The other thing that makes it suspicious is that it was an across the isles majority vote.

Yeah. If this was the case then the current President wouldn't have been outside, the campaigning would have been drastically different etc...What they should have been worried about I continue to scream about at the top of my lungs is that a disciplined & motivated squad of attackers could have the entire security establishment on their back foot in the DC region. The USMC and even the US Army is BATSHIT FUCKING STUPID to think that they can do anything in a naval fight except oppose enemy landing or conduct amphibious assaults!

One Burke or Type 52 much less that MONSTER Type 55 has more VLS launchers which means missiles than the entire USMC MLR or their US Army equivalent.

I wish the Marine Corps had a book on fighting tribals. They're just built different and that's why they're so hard to fight. I'd love to know the real deal psychology that tribals have. Oh and you doubt me about this? Look at some of the fighters dominating the MMA. Alot from places like Kazakhstan. Tribal fighters appear to have much different motivations, have a much different mindset etc...yeah we need a manual covering irregular warfare involving tribals. Lastly remember that many of our "threat forces" have battalions of tribals as part of their formations. Would an outfit made up of tribals fight differently than an outfit made up of ethnic Chinese? Should we expect those outfits to have a "different" view of how they treat captured members? Are their different threats that come from capturing them?

I watched the hearing. The Senators above thought they were coming off as powerful. They thought wrong. If they had stated their issues in a calm manner then it would have had power. All the "drama shit" did was make them look like nagging bitches. The ladies don't know their audience. That might appeal to the female part of their audience but I feel confident that it comes off badly to the male portion. Additionally they're still playing the male vs female thing. That's old and to be honest everyone knows the truth. The average female can't match the average male in strength. Same with a trained male vs trained female. You can't legislate equity. You can enforce equality, a maintenance of standards. Lastly they talk about the integration of blacks in the military. The disruption was less. Much less because the standards weren't lowered. In some cases blacks had to do more to show they belonged (don't lose your shit....in the 50s and 60s that's just facts). The best thing to do is to follow Dr. King's admonition. Treat everyone equal. No special treatment for anyone. Legacies, race, sex, etc...
